Director K Asif's immortal depiction of the Anarkali-Salim-Akbar saga starring Madhubala,Dilip Kumar and Prithvi Raj kapoor in corresponding roles
had many scenes shot in Agra.
Fatehpur Sikri was shown as Akbar's Palace in the movie.
The famous song from this movie "Pyaar kiya to darna kya" was shot on an expensive set created in the Agra Fort.
After 7-days of shooting of the song , producer K Asif tried if the "Sheesh Mahal"
(Palace of Glass) could be preserved permanently for the public, but due to no storage area ,it had to be finally disposed off.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan and Ali Zafar starrer Mere Brother Ki Dulhan was shot near Taj Mahal ,
at Agra for Yash Raj Films.
A wedding sequence for the film was shot , in which Katrina had to ride a horse in Mehtab Bagh, close
to the Taj Mahal.
Major chunks of filming took place in the Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri Shrine, and Agra Fort premises.
Notable scenes shot are the wedding scene, and a certain concert filmed at Agra Fort that shows Katrina
with a guitar. There were protests regarding the use of historic monuments for the film
